I create sculptural works that fuse ceramics and crochet, bringing together seemingly contrasting materials to explore the ways in which different artistic traditions can coexist, interact, and transform one another. Rooted in personal and cultural narratives, my work draws from my family’s migration journey from Italy to Argentina and my own move to Australia, weaving together inherited craft techniques with contemporary sculptural practices.

The interplay between the solid, enduring nature of ceramics and the softness and fluidity of crochet speaks to the tension between structure and adaptability, permanence and change. This contrast is not only visual but deeply symbolic—each piece is a conversation between different modes of making, a reflection on how tradition and innovation shape one another. I see my practice as a way to advance the arts by exploring material relationships in ways I haven’t seen before, always searching for new avenues of expression.
